ABOUT PROTON SLINGER

Handcrafted props and costumes built with obsessive attention to detail

WHERE IT STARTED

Proton Slinger was born out of a lifelong obsession with the props and costumes that make science fiction and fantasy feel real. What started as a personal quest to build a screen-accurate Ghostbusters proton pack grew into a full workshop dedicated to the craft.

Every build starts with research — reference photos, behind-the-scenes footage, original blueprints when available. The goal is never just to make something that looks good from across a convention floor. It's to make something that holds up under a flashlight at two inches.

Today Proton Slinger ships props and costumes to collectors and costumers across the country, with every piece built by hand in a one-person workshop in the heart of the Midwest.

THE CRAFT PHILOSOPHY

Screen Accuracy First

Every detail is researched against original source material. If it was on screen, it's on the build.

Built to Be Worn

Props and costumes are made to survive conventions, photoshoots, and real-world use — not just to sit on a shelf.

No Shortcuts

Foam, resin, paint, weathering — every material is chosen for the result it produces, not the time it saves.

One Maker, Every Build

There's no assembly line here. Every piece that ships was touched by the same pair of hands from start to finish.
